RSACC - Free specialist support for parents/carers of children who have experienced sexual abuse
Places are available on the Keystone Project - a fully funded program that provides specialist support to parents and carers of children who have experienced sexual abuse - and they are inviting referrals.

What The Keystone Project Offers
- A mix of 1:1 counselling and group sessions led by experienced trauma therapists.
- Safe, confidential support to help parents and carers process their own emotions and experiences.
- Practical strategies to support a child’s healing journey, including understanding perpetrator behavior and grooming.
- Fully funded sessions at venues in Darlington and Durham.
Why Refer?
- Feedback from their previous cohorts shows significant improvements in participants’ emotional well-being, confidence, and ability to cope with daily life.
- Parents and carers often feel guilt, shame, or self-blame—The Keystone Project helps them move toward empowerment and self-compassion.
- A better-supported parent or carer is better able to nurture a child’s recovery and resilience.

How to Refer
- Parents/carers can self-refer by calling their business line on 01325 354119 during office hours.
- Alternatively, professionals can get in touch on behalf of a client (with their consent).
