Hartlepool & Stockton on Tees CSA Conference - 28 January
Take Notice is a 12-month multi-agency campaign with partners including the Hartlepool and Stockton Safeguarding Children Partnership, NSPCC, Corner House Youth project, Barnardos, the Police and others. Take Notice aims to provide resources and advice to support parents and professionals help keep children safe.
The campaign will work to support parents, carers and relevant professionals to feel confident to talk about Child Sexual Abuse prevention in an age-appropriate way with the children/young people they know and work with, through a range of resources, so that children/young people know that they can always talk to someone about anything that is worrying them.
It will be a chance to hear directly from those with lived experience, a campaign overview from the NSPCC, hear about best practise from Barnardos and the Halo Project.
The event will also feature a performance of It’s Not OK. A theatre in education tour visiting secondary schools across the district as part of the campaign, a play and workshop that helps children and young people recognise concerning behaviour and identify characteristics of abusive and exploitative relationships.
