New Online Skills Groups from the NHS Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub

North East and North Cumbria NHS are introducing online skills groups for staff, to look after their mental health and wellbeing.

This March, the NHS Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub is offering two exciting online skills groups designed to help you thrive, both at work and in life. These friendly, welcoming sessions are all about making positive changes and building lasting skills for wellbeing.

Self-Compassion Skills Group 

Be kinder to yourself! Our much-loved Self-Compassion Skills Group is here to help you navigate challenges with greater ease. Over six weeks, you’ll explore ways to develop self-compassion and support your wellbeing in both your personal and professional life. 

What to Expect: 

- Learn why our minds can be tricky to manage. 

- Understand what compassion means and how it helps. 

- Try out practical exercises to build self-compassion. 

Key Details: 

- Start Date: Tuesday, 4th March 

- Time: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm 

- Duration: 6 weeks, 1.5 hours per session 

Stress Less Group

Feeling overwhelmed? The Stress Less Group is packed with strategies to help you manage stress and feel more in control. You’ll learn practical techniques to use every day, whether at work or home. 

What to Expect: 

- Understand how stress works and how to tackle it. 

- Use radical acceptance to build resilience. 

- Challenge unhelpful thoughts and improve your sleep. 

Key Details: 

- Start Date: Thursday, 6th March 

- Time: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm 

- Duration: 6 weeks, 1.5 hours per session
