Save the new date – 9 October - The Teesside University Community Hub Conference

Due to exceptional levels of interest in the previous conference, another date has been set for the Teesside University Community Hub Conference.

We are excited to announce the new date for the “Building a Stronger Teesside – The Teesside University Community Hub Conference.” 

Date: Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 

Time: 9am - 4pm  

Venue: Teesside University Students' Union 

Keynote speaker: Dame Julia Unwin DBE   

The original date received exceptional levels of interest reinforcing the desire to bring together community leaders from across our region. Thank you for your patience as we have been working behind the scenes to finalise this new date and location. 

We are particularly excited to announce Dame Julia Unwin, former CEO of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation as our keynote speaker.   

This conference will enable you to help the University meet the needs of friends and colleagues in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE). We will be bringing together community leaders and changemakers from the VCSE sector, with university colleagues to see how we can work together more closely to the benefit of local communities.  Sessions will include a showcase of current collaboration between Teesside University and community partners and discussions about how our research and knowledge can benefit your organisation. We will also be able to explore opportunities for social value.   

Key conference highlights will include: 

·       Networking with community leaders, university colleagues, and passionate individuals.  

·       Exploring partnerships and innovative solutions for a stronger Tees Valley.  

·       Engaging sessions tailored to the needs of the VCSE sector (full schedule coming soon).
