Organisation of the week - Breathe Easy Darlington
About Breathe Easy Darlington
We are a registered charity offering support to people living with respiratory and lung conditions who are locally resident in Darlington, Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire. We are a voluntary group, many of whom suffer from these conditions themselves, so we understand the challenges associated with trying to live well with respiratory ill health.
Our services are free to use ,and include weekly pulmonary rehabilitation exercise classes and fortnightly seated yoga and choir sessions held locally in Darlington. Walking mixed sports sessions are also held fortnightly in Thornaby, Stockton.
The many benefits to be gained from joining us include reducing breathlessness and improving balance control, preventing falls, and generally helping to improve the quality of everyday life.
We aim to provide a mutually supportive environment, have some fun, and reduce the isolation felt by people in Ill lung health, many of whom are elderly or who have restricted mobility requiring aids.
