As a voluntary Board member you will play a role in setting the strategic direction of Healthwatch Darlington, ensuring that the Healthwatch Darlington vision, aims, and values are upheld to deliver an effective Healthwatch in line with legislation.

You will play a crucial role in making sure the way that Healthwatch Darlington is governed.

Good governance leads to good delivery. We need your skills, abilities, knowledge and experiences to be the best we can be. Could you be an important part of our independent organisation that puts the voice of local people at the heart of health and care decision making in Darlington?

We are looking for Directors to join our Board. Healthwatch Darlington is a fully independent charitable organisation, commissioned and supported by Darlington Borough Council. Directors will have legal responsibilities as directors of a limited company and as charity trustees and will be accountable for the discharge of Healthwatch Darlington’s statutory responsibilities.

We would welcome applications from people who have proven experience gained in a professional, personal or voluntary capacity in one or more of the following areas:
