Secure Data Environment: Call for participants for online focus group

Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) is working on the Secure Data Environment programme on behalf of the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board.
Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) is a primary element of the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Secure Data Environment (SDE) programme delivery.
A primary element of PPIE activity includes targeted focus groups with some specific communities from across the region.
The purpose of these focus groups will be to ‘deep-dive’ the views held by these communities to explore any underlying issues people may have around the concept of the SDE and use of health and care data for research and development.

Detail of the focus groups
There will be 6 online focus groups as outlined by persona and geographical area.
Each focus group will have up to 8 people and they will last 90 minutes.
As a thank you for taking part, participants will be paid £40 in digital Love2Shop vouchers.
The focus groups will be at the below times. There is a mix of daytime and evening sessions, to ensure maximum participation.
● Tues 25 Mar 6 - 7.30pm
● Wed 26 Mar 12.30 – 2pm
● Thurs 27 Mar 6 - 7.30pm
● Tues 1 Apr 6 - 7.30pm
● Wed 2 Apr 6 - 7.30pm
● Fri 4 April 12.30 – 2pm
There is a link to a sign up form for people to express their interest in the focus group and to choose which sessions they are able to attend.
Those who are chosen will be sent details and a link to join the online session.
Applications close Monday 10 March - successful applicants will then be allocated (and who fit the target) to the set dates and times for the focus groups.
Those who are not chosen will be given the opportunity if they wish to be kept on the database should further opportunities arise.
Once the sessions have taken place, participants will be sent an electronic Love2Shop voucher to the value of £40 within 2 weeks of the event.
