Activkids UK - new service for upcoming Easter holidays sports camps
If you are hosting an Easter holidays sports camp you can get a special visit from a GB athlete to encourage kids to get involved, through Activkids.
Activkids arrange for a Team GB athlete to come in and visit the club for an inspiring event to get children to be more active.
They have a number of athletes involved in these activities including Lioness, Jess Clarke and Paralympic gold Medallist, Kylie Grimes.
They are arranging for Jess Clarke to visit the club to run the following:
- Fun and challenging fitness circuit
- Sport related training drills
- Inspirational assembly discussing healthy eating, fitness and mental health
- Athlete will talk about their career and achievements
- Intimate Q&A with the athlete
Activkids are a not for profit organisation and they run the events at cost at just £325 and last for 2.5 hours. In other clubs they are working with, this works well, as this gives time for reflection as well as offering food to the children.
