Tees Valley YMCA - Updated hub timetable and other news - January 2025

Our youth provision will recommence on Monday 6th January in our on-site hub. These sessions are free to attend and are open access for young people aged 10 – 19 years old (up to 24 with SEND).
New sessions include a Boys Group for those aged 12 – 17 years old, every Monday 6pm – 7pm. To provide them a safe space that will be led by male members of staff, support and advice, and activities with the aim to improve social and emotional development. Another new addition is a youth club specifically for young people aged 16 – 19 years old, every Tuesday 6pm – 7:30pm. There have been other changes to so please take the time to read the poster.
In terms of our community-based youth sessions, they will also be starting Monday 6th January. We are in the process of setting up a session at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College targeting young people who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community to offer practical support and enhance emotional resilience. Please find attached to this email posters for our hub timetable and community-based sessions.
As for events, our community and youth services team will be attending the Heart of the Community event at Darlington College on Tuesday 28th January from 10am – 2pm. This event focuses on diversity and inclusivity, which is why we will be promoting our LGBTQ+ youth sessions.
We encourage the involvement of other local services/agencies in our youth sessions and would like to broaden our network.
