VONNE - Civil Society Covenant Consultation events

NCVO have announced that they are working closely with the government and ACEVO to develop the Civil Society Covenant, which follows on from the Voluntary Sector Manifesto they worked on earlier this year.

The Civil Society Covenant is currently in draft format and NCVO want to hear your thoughts on the Framework and the draft principles – whether you’ve had a positive or negative experience of engaging with local or national government.

VONNE is working with Local Infrastructure Organisations across the region to host a series of online engagement sessions, so that we can convene a regional response to the covenant. Following the unveiling of the Chancellor’s Autumn 2024 Budget, we’ll also be taking time to discuss the impacts of the budget on the charity sector, particularly the National Insurance Contribution increases.

There will be three sub-regional events, North of Tyne, South of Tyne and Tees Valley, followed by a regionwide event. Register for your local event on the VONNE events page.
