Organisation of the week - The Darlington and South Durham MS Society Group

Our popular organisation of the week feature is back, and this week we spotlight The Darlington and South Durham MS Society Group!

About The Darlington and South Durham MS Society Group

The Darlington and South Durham MS Society Group assists people affected by Multiple Sclerosis living in Darlington and the South Durham area. We arrange activities, fundraising events and social events, and try to make things fun.

Examples of group activities that we run include:

  • Coffee & Support Group – second Thursday of the month from 10.30 to 12.00 at Darlington Rugby Club, Blackwell Meadows, Grange Road DL1 5NR. Friendly, informative and good company.
  • Exercise & Wellbeing Support Group – Weekly sessions lasting two hours on Tuesday mornings, consisting of a bespoke exercise class and wellbeing discussions. Run by St Teresa’s at their ‘Wellbeing hub at the Woodlands’, Darlington, DL3 7UA.
  • Aromatherapy service – Run by the Butterwick Hospice, Woodhouse Lane, Bishop Auckland, DL14 6JU. Sessions are for one hour each week.

The activities are for our members, and times, dates and details can be found on our MS website page, Facebook page or directly by contacting the organiser. Our Newsletter, which is sent out to members every two months, also has details of the activities. You can sign up to our mailing list by clicking here.

We can help in coordinating taxis and wheelchair accessible transport so that people can get to our events.
