About Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington

Age UK NYD provides a Dementia Day Care provision for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia at Bradbury House in Darlington. The service provides a safe and engaging space for individuals to come during the day Mon-Fri. Trained care staff provide a variety of activities for people to keep them active mentally and physically to improve overall wellbeing as well as give their families and carers a break. The service can include transport to and from the centre as well as a hot meal during the day. The service prides itself on being creative in its approach and has a strong focus on a positive and fun environment. 

We are also expanding our services to General Day care which is aimed at people over the age of 50 and in the early stages of dementia. Please get in touch if you would like any information. 

The cost of the service is £60 per day and an additional £12 for transport if needed, please note those on a low income may be eligible for a reduction from Darlington Borough council if your savings are below the threshold.
