The difference we can make together
"Recyke have helped develop my knowledge of bikes and provided skills training to enable me to service / repair bikes. Consequently, I'm far more confident than I was in tackling bike related issues. The permanent staff are extremely helpful and supportive and always willing to share their knowledge. I've met lots of new people and made new friendships. And at the end of the day I enjoy the idea of saving bikes and helping people!"
Recyke y’Bike work with community groups across Chester-le-Street to take care of their bikes, work out what needs to be fixed, select and reuse spare parts and learn how to use a variety of bike tools both confidently and safely. Giving people the knowledge they need to maintain their own sustainable form of transport, whether it’s too commute to work or enjoy in their spare time.
