National Suicide Prevention Grant Funding - Launching in July
The target launch of the grant has been moved up to July from September following government minister requests to align with launch of the revised Suicide Prevention strategy.
£10 million, 2-year, grant fund will be available for VCSE sector to support delivery of the updated national Suicide Prevention Strategy.
Information and application forms will be available on the GOV-UK Find a grant (find-government-grants.service.gov.uk). You are encouraged to sign up for ‘updates’ using the link if you are interested in applying for the grant or supporting VCSE organisations to apply.
Particular focus on targeting grassroots organisations and vulnerable communities as defined in the strategy (list below taken from first draft of strategy and remains TBC).
- Autistic people
- Children and young people
- People in contact with the criminal justice system
- People in contact with mental health services
- Middle-aged men
- Pregnant women and new mothers
- People who have previously self-harmed
