Mental Health Support Team Darlington/CAMHS Training
Mental Health Support Team (MHST) Darlington and CAMHS are offering free training for parents & carers AND professionals.
Free training is available for parents and carers of young people in Darlington that want to develop an understanding of children’s mental health in 2023.
Friendly staff from the CAMHS Training Team take the workshops that give a brief overview of conditions, increase awareness and help to explore and identify mental health concerns:
- Understanding emotionally based school avoidance
- Anxiety
- Emotional Wellbeing
- Adolescent sexual development and sexual risk
Free training for professionals who work with children and young people within County Durham and Darlington is also now available for 2023.
Friendly staff from the CAMHS Training Team take the workshops that give a brief overview of conditions, increase awareness and help you explore and identify mental health concerns:
- Anxieties, worries, fears and phobias
- Emotionally based school avoidance
- Attachment difficulties
- Attentional Difficulties ADHD/ADD
- Childhood Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences
- Deliberate self-harm
- Eating difficulties
- Low mood and depression
- Social and communication difficulties
- Adolescent sexual development and sexual risk
A new awareness session has been added for ‘Child to Parent Violence and Aggression’ which will be on Wednesday 26th April 1:30-3:45pm.
