Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - Prevention inquiry - call for proposals
The Health and Social Care Committee is launching a major new inquiry into prevention. For the first stage of this inquiry they would like to hear from researchers, organisations and individuals interested in or working in preventative healthcare.
Any proposals will help the committee decide where to focus its attention. The topics the inquiry could seek to cover include (but not limited to):
- Upstream prevention
- Obesity and physical activity
- Smoking
- Alcohol
- Mental health
- Healthy environments
- Healthy homes and workplaces
- Disease prevention
Overall, the committee is interested in where preventative health care should be by 2030, and how the government should go about fulfilling that ambition.
