North East and North Cumbria ICS announce new VCSE funding for interested organisations
Funding of up to £5,000 will be made available to successful VCSE organisations working with families in the North East and North Cumbria’s underserved communities.
The Integrated Care System said:
We hope to use the existing trusted VCSE relationships and activities within communities to share our Healthier Together resources by those VCSE’s creating Healthier Together Champions from their existing workforce, to share the resources and receive feedback on its accessibility.
Healthier Together is an online and mobile application that can enable parents and carers to make informed decisions about accessing appropriate local healthcare services for their baby or child. If parents are unsure whether their child needs to be seen by a doctor, the easy-to-follow guidance on Healthier Together will ease worry and ensure people are signposted to the best service to provide help, such as a pharmacy or GP, or to self-care at home. It also ensures those who most need to be seen urgently are advised to seek the correct help. Healthier Together also has information for older children and teenagers to find out about issues relevant to them and how to access support. It is important that this is accessed by all our communities.
The funding will support training, workforce and activities in February and March and we hope that there will then be an ongoing commitment to highlight Healthier Together as part of your ongoing work. We will also gather valuable feedback from communities as to how best we can enable their access to these resources.
Please submit your application via the link below by noon on January 11th and ask your potential Healthier Together Champions to hold 10-12 on January 20th for their online introduction. Click below to access the application form.
