It is recommended that everyone who completes the Adult Mental Health First Aid training course completes a refresher training course every 3 years. This is a short 4 hour in person training session to refresh your skills and keep you up to date with any changes:

  • Thursday 1st September 2022 – 1pm to 5pm at Bishop Auckland Hospital Lecture Theatre
  • Friday 18th November 2022 – 9:30am to 1:30pm at Nettlesworth Community Centre, DH2 3PN

Suicide Awareness Workshop
World Suicide Prevention Day is on Saturday 10 September. To help spread awareness they are running two Suicide Awareness Workshops on Friday 9th September. This workshop is for people who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. The workshop will provide a safe environment for participants to explore this subject. This workshop is suitable for anyone who might come into contact with someone experiencing thoughts of suicide, for example volunteers, frontline staff and community groups working with the public:

  • Friday 9th September – 9:30am to 12:30pm
  • Friday 9th September – 1pm to 4pm

Both of these sessions will be delivered remotely via MS Teams.
