Government introduces optional cards and badges to promote ongoing social distancing
The government have released new social distancing cards and badges for people who are worried about others around them respecting their space in line with social distancing guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This 'Distance Aware' initiative has been recently endorsed by the Department of Health and Social Care to promote the need for ongoing distancing for all. The badges can be used to show the carrier may have difficulties or concerns in maintaining social distancing. They can be used to signal to others around them that they need to pay attention and be given space.
