Coronavirus is making daily life much harder. You may feel anxious, scared or lonely.

But you are not alone – help is available.

The Alzheimer’s Society continue to accept all referrals from professional organisations and self-referrals, and they are providing a telephone Dementia Support Service to the people of Darlington affected by dementia or who have memory concerns  They are then able to offer additional support through their interim Welfare and Companion Call service.

The Alzheimer’s Society set up the interim Companion Call Service in response to the current Covid-19 situation, which involves a weekly chat with one of their volunteers to help reduce isolation. This service does not offer dementia information and support but can be given alongside dementia support.

All home visits and group services have been postponed until further notice. However, please know they are at the end of the phone or email if you need any information, advice or support.

Please contact them:
